How To Install Auto Gauge Voltmeter Wiring

How To Install Auto Transmission
- The red positive wire comes from the battery, via the fuse box, and into the switch (bottom right) From the other terminal of the switch, there are 3 positive wires into one spade terminal - each going to its own device (volt meter, usb, cigarette socket) So when the switch is on - it feeds all 3 devices at once.
- To old school you are right a volt meter gives more information than an ammeter without the worry of setting your car on fire. This is my first time on a discussion group and you guys are great. Thanks, if you have any additional info please let me know.
- Video of the Day. Install the automotive voltmeter to the tractor dashboard. If the tractor has an open space on the instrument panel, remove the dashboard retaining screws and install the voltmeter into one of the empty instrument panel spaces. Attach the voltmeter to the dashboard using one or more metal screws.
- Connect the red wire to position 1, and loop the wire around and connect the same wire into position 5. Slide the white dust cover over the orange connector once the wires are securely installed. NOTE: The gauge backlighting will only illuminate if both the ignition supply AND the backlighting circuits are on.
- CAUTION: Do not touch ignition wire to the sender (S) terminal on back of gauge or the sender may be damaged. Twist-In Light. GAUGE (back view) Ground. A five gauge kit will have a speedometer, fuel level, water temperature, oil pressure and a volt meter, and the six gauge kit adds a tachometer. For most people, the gauge sets will do the job just fine.
